Workshop “Journey Book Binding” -

The Jim Thompson Art Center cordially invites you to attend the workshop

 “JourneyBook Binding”

Conducted by Taipida Moodhitaporn

Saturday 11 September 2010 from 1-5 p.m.

The William Warren Library

 (This program is part of “Breaking out of the Cocoon, Growing out of Rice”).

This workshop will focus on learning how to create Book Bindings for photographic memories of your journies. Participants will learn to do three different styles of book binding: 1. Basic book binding. 2. Accordion book binding and 3. Recycled book binding. They will also gain ideas about how to create cards and gift tag by using  recycled paper and waste materials.

Course Instructor Background Information Taipida Moodhitaporn graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Visual Communication Arts and master’s degree in Arts and Technology from Chicago Arts Institute. Currently she is a Digital Project Manager of Oxfam Great Britain, she is also independent artist and guest professor in Raffles International School Bangkok, Silapakorn University and Sripathum University.   

The program is open to both children and adults.

The workshop fee is 500 baht per person and includes materials and coffee break with snack.

** Participants please bring two or three journey/travel photos of your choice for join this workshop.
