Two Exhibitions In Conjunction with the Celebrations in
Honor of Her Majesty the Queen’s 80th Birthday Anniversary
Pressing, Perfuming, and Preserving:
Caring for Textiles in the Inner Court
9 August – 30 September 2012
Using historic objects supplemented with special programs and lectures, Pressing, Perfuming, and Preserving: Caring for Textiles in the Inner Court explains and illustrates traditional methods of treating fine fabrics at the court of HM King Rama V (r. 1868-1910).
The Exhibition will be held at the Queen Sirikit Museum of Textiles, on the grounds of the Grand Palace
The lectures (in Thai) will be held on each Saturday starting from August 11 – September 22
except the first one held on Thursday, August 9.
The abstract will be supplied upon registration day.
There will be workshops on Traditional Thai dressing and Thai perfuming held every day.
