Musician and filmmaker Victoria Vorreiter who is curator of the Songs of Memory exhibition at Jim Thompson Art Center assembled a large group of tribal textiles while collecting material for her Traditional Music of the Golden Triangle exhibit. Her collection includes complete sets of garments, jewelry, and accessories of the Karen Pwo, Lisu Djalae, Akha Ullo, Lahu Shi, Mien, and Hmong Njua peoples, which are beautifully displayed in the exhibition. Victoria has agreed to take members of the Bangkok Textile Society on a special curator walk to point out the signature features in the everyday and ceremonial clothing that make each tradition unique.
